Hi everyone, hope you all are doing well! I've been doing better lately, my mood has brightened significantly. Are you all excited about the 4th of July? I am, because for the first Independence Day in several years, I don't have work. Due to the economy the way it is, the company that usually hires my mom and I for their 4th of July party in DC cancelled. Well, not greta for business maybe, but I'm happy because that means I get to spend it with my family at my aunt's house, and my bf Jesse may becoming as well!

Now, on to the topic of my journal... Artistic Slumps. I am in one. It is annoying as hell. I just can't seem to find a subject I'm interested in enough to create a full drawing/animation around.. I'll start one, then lose interest, and end up deleting it. Very frustrating. I need some creative juices... I have several things I've begun or been interested in beginning: A short animation about a little boy whose dream world is set up like a stage, with marionette characters and dangling props. The boy would be the main character, and fly around with his magical blankie, all while resolving the premise of the play before the sun rises and he wakes up. The little clip I recently put up is an excerpt/general idea for how the animation would look, although I think I'll probably change the style in which I draw the little kid... it's a WIP lol.

Another thing I've been interested in (mildly) is a comic or animation about a girl and her bf who go camping deep in the woods of West Virginia on a school trip, only to have her bf bitten by a renegade werewolf from a nearby secluded werewolf clan. The boy, Brennan, isn't a particularly aggressive personality, so the clan would have simply integrated him and relocated, but unfortunately for them all, Brennan's gf Andrea has a VERY dominant personality, and as Brennan's 'mate' (they consummate their relationship for the first time while on the trip), Andrea's alpha persona thrusts poor Brennan into conflict for position with the clan's leader, the current alpha. While the alpha female disdains Brennan's claims to leadership, because Andrea is only human, the clan feels the tension that the lone wolf and his alpha mate pose. Brennan must either fight for leadership of the clan or attempt to live as a werewolf in human society.

Those are about all I've got atm that actually interest me enough to work on them... any opinions on what would be a more interesting endeavor?
