This is Andrea and (name undecided) from my werewolf story idea... not far into fleshing out the plot yet, I still need to work that out as well as members of the werewolf pack. As for names for the male character, I'm considering Marrok, Brennan, and Ralph. Lol Ralph. That would certainly impact the way his character developed. Marrok (a knight/werewolf of King Arthur's court) sounds a bit too... formal, or medieval... Brennan (meaning teardrop) a bit too Celtic... but then Ralph (wise wolf) sounds like the poor boy was a social reject. Which actually would fit the progression of the story... but I worry that people would have a difficult time with a protagonist named 'Ralph.' Anyone have any suggestions for a name that has to do with wolves, or just a cool name in general?

Why would people have a problem with a protagonist named Ralph? Not as bad as some others XD Haha BOB (so generic! and not common among our age group at all...)

Anyway, I think it'll come out great! Hmm... you want some help with plotline and stuff? (get on Skype!)

Haha, I agree that Bob would be the worst, but Ralph I think is up there in uncommoness due to lack of popularity as a name. Too easy to make fun of.

I guess... hmmm... the only other language I know the word "wolf" in is Japanese (Ookami), but you probably don't want to use that, as there's a game about a wolf by the same name (they just put a long-vowel mark over the O instead of using two of them >_>; )

Haha I'd rather avoid japanese cultural references in this story. Because it tends to make the author sound like an anime lover (regardless of whether I am or am not), I'd rather keep it professional and avoid bringing in references that are so far removed from the setting of my story. XD

Haha figured. I didn't really think it was a great name either, but I guess you could search for words in other languages that mean something useful? I dunno how easy it'll be to get an accurate definition, considering most online translators are crap >_>; I'm really not good at choosing names XDDD
